This is a summary of our conditions valid for bookings made on or after 22 July 2021. You can read the full Booking Conditions here. For bookings made before 21 July 2021 the respective T&C in force as of the date the booking was made will apply.
Holiday deposits: Only 10% of Trip Cost
(does not apply to bike & boat trips and some summit treks)
Holiday balances: Due only 6 weeks before departure
(and payable only if we are 100% sure your trip can run as scheduled)
Covid-19 Refund Promise*
We are one of the few adventure travel companies that have been offering refunds throughout the coronavirus crisis. In case you are not able to start your trip** (e.g. due to official advice of either your home or destination government against non-essential travel, quarantines, lockdowns, mandatory self-isolation or if a member of your party has tested positive for Covid-19 – subject to proof), you have the following options:
- Cancel without penalty and get a prompt refund of all monies paid to us
- Postpone to a future date*** or change to an alternative trip without paying a fee
We will typically consider such advice within the 4-week window before the tour start date. The Covid-19 refund promise does not apply to having to self-isolate in your destination country after your trip has started or in your home country on return from a destination. In any case, we would ask you in the first instance to contact your travel insurance provider as many insurers now have Covid-19 covers for which you may be able to claim. If you have not already arranged cover, please contact our recommended travel insurance providers.
Change or Cancel for Any Other Reason
You can change or cancel for any other reason (e.g. there are no travel restrictions and your holiday can run as planned but you still do not feel safe travelling) – in this case, our Standard Terms & Conditions will apply – and they are quite flexible, too!
*Please note that many countries and/or accommodation providers now require a valid Covid certificate (aka Green Certificate) to allow you entry. It is the customer’s obligation to fulfil this requirement. Should you decide to travel without a valid Covid certificate, you do so at your own risk. In such cases, any trip interruption, disruption or cancellation will be entirely at the expense of the customer.
**Does not apply to all Bike&Boat tours, selected Summit Treks and all Peru tours, where our Standard Terms & Conditions will apply.
**If the tour booked has seasonal pricing, or there are exchange rate fluctuations, the price of the holiday might be different depending on the new date or trip chosen – you will have to pay the difference if the price is h*igher or we will refund it if it is lower.
