In short, this is not an option on our self-guided tours, and this facility is more characteristic of escorted tours.
The luggage vehicle is contracted to transport luggage, and most of our luggage transfer partners do not have permits to transport passengers. Across their daily schedule, the drivers generally have multiple stops to make at separate accommodations and will not be taking a direct route to your next hotel. With multiple luggage collections, the vehicles will also not have sufficient space for passengers and the luggage service partner may not have surplus vehicles in their fleet to accommodate passengers.
If you have concerns about completing a stage of walking or cycling, we recommend checking the public transportation options first. In most cases, this option is the most economical and sustainable way to travel. Alternatively, you can book your taxi from one accommodation to the next. This will be paid for by you and can be done through our local partners, your hotel, or directly via local taxi services in the area.
We supply as much public transportation and local taxi service information as possible in our pre-departure documentation, and we encourage you to contact our support team before your tour to discuss the options available. Whilst on your tour, you can contact our local ground partner via the details we provide, and they are best placed to promptly assist you. During peak seasons, making arrangements before the specific day is highly advisable, as many taxi services will have limited availability at short notice.
