Step by step guide to booking our adventure tours
The anticipation of choosing a holiday, deciding when, where and with whom, can not only excite us, but also exhaust us. The moment when you come to book, however, should not be a stressful one, although we appreciate that getting out that bank card is always a big decision. Which is why we’re here. Not only to make the booking bit as speedy as possible, but also to reassure you about any concerns you may have. Because, at The Natural Adventure, we’re not bots, we’re humans who can help you feel confident in your choice from the get go. So let’s go!
-
Choose your place
Choose your favourite holiday (we know, that’s a tough choice!) and go through it in detail, to see all of the exciting aspects that are included, and some less exciting ones that aren’t. There’s a list at the bottom of every adventure page.
-
Choose your dates
If you’re ready to go, head to the booking form by clicking the Book now box on the top right hand page, and choose your dates.
-
Enquire for extra info
If you have any specific questions about your choice, press Enquire at the bottom of the booking form first. This enquiry goes directly to one of our adventure specialists, who aims to get back to you within 48 hours.
-
Check any extra costs
If you don’t need any more information, check if there are any additional costs, on top of the given tour price. These may be for solo supplements, bike hire, hotel upgrades, airport transfers, excursions etc and tick any applicable boxes.
-
Booking for one
Some of our adventures are not really suitable for solo travellers. With these tours, you won’t be able to continue through the booking process if you’re only booking for one person. Just to make sure you don’t book the wrong holiday. We have, however, over 600 solo adventures to choose from. If you are travelling solo, please note that there’s usually a solo supplement.
-
Tell us about you
Insert your details, those of your fellow travellers and any details that you need us to be aware of, such as dietary requirements, height for bike hire, and flexibility on dates, in the event of no availability.
-
Time to pay
It’s that time, sorry. Just press Continue to payment to open our secure booking form. You can then choose to pay either a 20-30% deposit, depending on the holiday or the full tour price. The balance is payable six weeks before your holiday. Don’t forget to add the discount code for 5% off if you’ve booked with us before. We will have sent it in an email after your last trip. For more details on payment options, see here.
-
Bear with us
As we work closely with many adventure partners, we just need a short period of time to ensure that your booking can be confirmed. This takes a maximum of five-seven working days, but it can also be five working hours! In the unlikely event that there is no availability for your desired dates, we can either refund the payment, or chat with you about other dates or another adventure.
-
Book your travel
Once we’ve confirmed your booking, it’s time to book your travel, and not before, just in case the hotel is heaving, or our transfer vehicles are teeming. We want things to work perfectly for you when you get there.
-
Pay the holiday balance
If you haven’t paid it all at the start of the process, we will ask you to pay the balance six weeks before you go, sharing the secure payment link with you again.
-
Get your maps, apps and zap into action
The next exciting email is full of route notes, hotel lists, GPX files, destination contact details, access to a navigation app and other digital details to make it all feel real. In some cases, you get a paper information pack on arrival at your first accommodation.
-
Start preparing
Some adventure holidays take a bit of preparation in terms of training for hiking or cycling holidays. With others, you just need to chill until you’re ready to hit the hills, or saunter along your chosen seascapes. You may also want to think about packing, and we’ve got lots of tips on that here.
Don’t forget to take photos and send us a postcard! Or, in other words, tag us on your social media posts and images. If you do, you could be in with a chance of winning £1,000 in travel vouchers. Find out more.
